Unofficial Guides to For Adventurer Bible Tests for 2024-2025

North American Division - Adventurer Bible Games

The official web page for the Adventurer Bible Games appears to be https://www.clubministries.org/adventurers/adventurer-bible-game/

Although we have not yet prepared materials specifically for this year's Adventurer Bable Games, we do have study guides for Exodus that were prepared for PBE in 2017 that include the following:

  • Illustration for every verse
  • A questions for every verse
  • Handles, or suggestions, to help memorize difficult passages

Trans-European Division - Adventurer Bible Experience

The official web page for the TED Adventurer Bible Experience appears to be https://ted.adventist.org/youth/adventurers/adventurer-bible-experience-abe/

The Ready Answers Bible Memorization Program is designed to help you memorize Bible passages easily and quickly. It is based on many well-proven strategies for memorizing. From this page you can get our material designed to help prepare for tests on portions of the Biblical books of Romans and 1 Corinthians. This should be helpful for tests such as the 2025 Adventurer Bible Experience or Bible Bowl events. It is also helpful for any study of these chapters. On other web pages at this site, we also have memorization guides for other books of the Bible.

Practice Tests

These practice tests are intended for students to test themselves and for team leaders to use to help simulate the real test experience. Both interim and final practice tests are provided for individual students, study partners, and full team practice sessions. The interim tests are for the first third of student assignments, the middle third, and the final third as shown in the table below:

The same questions that are provided in the study table lower in this page are presented in the following practice tests. Students can use these to practice and PBE team leaders can select some of these to organize practice sessions simulating the real test experience. Of the decks provided within any cell of the table, all the questions that are assigned to the students applicable to the row and column of this cell are asked at least once in these decks. No questions are asked more than once except in the highest numbered deck in each cell. In this deck the unique questions are asked first and then other questions are selected randomly to total 45 questions. A 25 second timer is included with each question; however, on the real tests more time is given for questions with longer answers.

Study Guides in English, Spanish, and French

If the hyperlinks in these study guides don't work, please try using Acrobat reader. This is often necessary on phones.

The "initials" study guides provide the initial letter of each word to help students confirm they are correctly recalling the verses. Once students have mastered reciting the verses using this, they will want to advance to using the "blanks". These study guides have a blank for each word of the verses except for the most commonly used words. These very common words like "an", "the", "of" are provided as clues. We hope this will help students who have mastered reciting the verses using the Initials to speed their process in completely memorize the verses.

Team Organization

You will probably want to consider carefully who on the team should be responsible for which portions of this year’s material. Since some chapters are smaller than others and some books are smaller than others. This year there is very little similarity between verses, but if there are, they can be difficult for one person to be ready to answer questions on both. Assigning students to each learn the same number of chapters might not be the best strategy. The tables below show our recommended assignments. The goals we had were:

  • Each assignment should be about the same size as the other assignments. This is to help spread the effort equally across the team members.
  • To simplify remembering who is responsible for which verse, each student should generally be responsible for as few blocks of verses as possible. This is often in conflict with the other goals so a balance must be selected.
  • We consider if the content of two verses is similar. We try to assign these verses to different team members, because many people have difficulty memorizing two passages that are nearly identical. This year there aren't any good examples of this. They have almost the same message and use almost the same words, but they are not identical.
  • Each verse should be assigned to one student as a primary responsibility and to a second student as a secondary responsibility. This enables the students to consult with each other during the tests and help each other remember the details required to answer the questions. Also, if one student unexpectedly is not able to participate, the remaining team members are prepared to answer the questions.
  • Each student should have a study partner that leverages the primary and secondary responsibilities. This way, if the full team can't get together for every practice session, pairs of students can meet and study effectively.

We've given sample student names (both a male and a female name) for each assignment. Suppose you have a team with 2 girls and 4 boys and you the ask the girls to take the assignments for Ruth and Mary and ask the boys to take the assignments for Aquilla, Adam, Zecharriah, and Abraham. Then Ruth and Mary will be partners, Aquilla and Adam will be partners, and Zecharriah and Abraham will be partners. The table below shows that Ruth has the primary responsibility for Romans 8-9, and Mary has secondary responsibility for these same chapters.

The verse numbers on this page are using the verse number used in NKJV. In the verses for this year's PBE, all the verse numbers are the same in each of the languages; however, we have noticed that some phrases are not present in all three translations :
  • In Rom 8:1 "who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." is present in NKJV and RVR1995 but not in LSG or SBLGNT; however it is included in verse 4 in all of these. This is because the phrase is in the Textus Receptus but is not present in verse 1 of some Greek manuscripts
  • The phrase "not of works but of Him who calls)," is in Rom 9:11 in NKJV, RVR1995, and LSG, but is in Rom 9:12 in SBLGNT.
  • The phrase "But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work." is present in Rom 11:6 in NKJV, RVR1995, and LSG but is not present in SBLGNT
  • The phrase "And David says:" is at the beginning of Rom 11:9 in NKJV, RVR1995, and SBLGNT, but is at the end of Rom 11:8 in LSG.
  • The phrase "for “the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.” " is not present in 1 Corinthians 10:28 or the following verse in LSG or SBLGNT, but is present in NKJV, RVR1995

Fund Raising

Some teams plan for success by raising the funds early to ensure they will be able to go the the final NAD testing level. One very successful fund-raising idea is to have a 30-day verse memorizing event. Students can ask sponsors to contribute $1 per verse for 30 verses that they learn within those 30 days. Some people even pledge to give $2 per verse if they learn 60 verses. This not only funds the trips, it also can be a great incentive to get ready for the tests.
